Happy New Year to everyone.
It seems like C.Y. 2023 went by very fast. The Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary which was an amazing accomplishment for a car club. We were very fortunate to have been able to celebrate the occasion with the Nashville Corvette Club’s first President, Preston Stark who continues to be involved in many of our Club Activities.
The annual Officer / Board Elections were completed for 2024. This year we welcome 3 new Board Members. We welcome Cooper Chilton as our new Treasurer, Mark Edmunds as Club V.P. / Activities Leader, and Dolores Johnson as our Club Secretary. I am looking forward to working with our new Board Members. I am hopeful that later this year when it is Election time, that we continue to attract new Board and Staff Member volunteers who will bring new vision, ideas, and growth to the Nashville Corvette Club.
Many of our members joined our Club hoping to form new and long-lasting friendships that we all enjoy as well as a reason to share in the many Corvette activities and events that we all participate in. 2024 is shaping up to be another fantastic year. I ask everyone to bring your ideas for Corvette fun forward to Mark Edmunds for consideration.
I have received very positive feedback from those who attended the Ceramic Pro Cruise-In Event. The Club will continue to be open to planning more events involving technical subjects maybe even with a few hands-on experiences. We would welcome ideas for events for those who enjoy the somewhat technical aspects of their Corvettes and how things work. We will of course still do backroads cruises etc. and discover new places to Eat!
Participation is key to further enjoying your Club Membership. Make it your New Year's Resolution to join us at the Monthly Club Meetings, to volunteer and get involved in Staff and Officer positions and the planning of many more enjoyable Corvette cruises and events.
See you soon,
